Check out what The SF Weekly had to say about it:
Track of the Day: Jern Eye
By Jennifer Maerz in MP3 of the DayThu., Oct. 29 2009 @ 11:46AM
Jern Eye
San Francisco's BOAC has a number of notable remixes and tracks that he's produced on his Web site. He's tackled hip-hop's titans (his version of Eminem's "Crack a Bottle" sounds so much fiercer than the original) and worked with indie faves (Sunspot Jonz and Luckyiam). I'm really digging BOAC's remix of Oakland rapper Jern Eye, though. Jern's new album Vision is out now, and he teamed with the local producer to spin off a fresh version of "Get Down."
The single has BOAC playing piano, synth, and percussion, adding extra funk to a song that already builds up a serious sweat on its way to the dance floor. The track also includes a verse from Z-Man!, who quips, "I miss Ol' Dirty like I miss Lil' Kim's nose; her first nose..." (If you like Z-Man!'s contribution, the San Francisco rapper is about to drop a free EP, Show Up Shut Up and Rap).

I just smoked a bunch of weed. I feel like taking a break from making this new track, and I'm not ready for more pizza and sprite. So I google myself. All people like me do that. Those of us who keep making music and hoping that the world will take notice....
So i found this review for my last solo album,"PLOT WILL TWIST". Its in French. I only speak English. So I found some site on the the net to translate it. WTF.
"Boac fate discs boom bap mischievous and fun. But it is not exactly what is expected. What? Lurks on without success? S on each of its output, it is a new "19 Ninety Theme".
Machete Vox:: 2006:: buy this disc
Ah, that? It is cruel to judge the whole? Work of one artist? l? basis of one single one of its titles. This is yet the fate that is r? Serve? ? Boac in France since DJ detect had the right id? E placing the jubilant "19 Ninety Theme" on? One of his mixtapes. Regardless of that? Before that the rapper has had a life within the collective The Earlings or that? He has released his first album? the end of the year? es 90 (Modern Originalus) and d? other discs yet. On each new release, the sounds of Nintendo's underground tube of 99 who are en Reading automatically search? S, or any other r? Enjoyment m? Me ilk. Unfortunately, under normal circumstances, that comes out Boac discs boom bap just mischievous and fun.
The m? Frustration for me Thought Bubbles pr? Side then? l? cost of this out the successor? year pass? with the support of some other MCs as Luckyiam.PSC California, Z-Man and Dublin. Will Plot Twist is clever, hopping, spring. It is dr? It as, for example when the rapper launched into a typology of girls with the aforementioned Living Legend? ( "Girls Got Doop"). L? Album is filled with titles endorsements, as posse cut "Hazardous Material", as "Nine Times" old school accent or as conclusive "Life is Hell." But the part of one rapper calling itself All Classics Banging out there? Was entitled? Esp? Improve something more? Labor? that these small loops heard a thousand times and just good? to gently dodeliner of the head. In the end, it could always be judged? encouraging and promising if only Boac? was an artist who came out of nowhere. Unfortunately, this shadow of "19 Ninety Theme" plane, and all new title is disqualified? in advance of the next hit single"

I took a trip up to Mendocino this week. While a few minutes north, in Fort Bragg, I noticed a small music store. From the window it looked like nothing but guitars and some percussive instruments. I went in anyways. The front room was just what it looked like, then I noticed a small room in the back. As I walked in I did a double take. There it was, a Juno 60, no price tag, great condition. I tried to keep my cool, and asked if It worked. The dude working,"Hugh", told me the owner didn't really want to get rid of it, so he priced it at $850, and kept it in the back of the shop. In less than 24 hours I walked out with it for $500. It sounds unbelievable. The first beat I made with it is going on my upcoming E.P.- Nothing like the real thing, now I just need a moog and I'll be happy...

The way it looks, very few artists will ever get a gold or platinum plaque. Some of my favorite artists of all time have those things hanging in their house. By the way, what did Outkast get for going Diamond???
I never aspired to sell a million, and I never made the type of music that would sell that amount, so it doesn't effect me, but think about all those kids that wish they were pop stars- what kind of future will they have??? LOL.
At this point it is not about selling music, it is about giving away music, and working with other companies to market music. Good music will prevail. People will come to shows. People will buy T-Shirts. The plaque is that weird holy grail that will fade way into the past like Tab soda...

Over at Soulstrut.com over 50 producers entered from around the world, and they came with hell heat! I'm honored that the judges were feeling mine. Look four posts down for the audio...
This is what the judges said about my remix:
"2. Two way tie - Uptempo: BOAC So out of the wheelhouse for this it was back in the wheelhouse, if that makes sense. This shit sounds like a classic west coast banger from yesterday with a forward look on it's brim. Fire."

I've been getting a lot folks asking me what I'm working on, what albums our label "Machete Vox" will be releasing soon, etc., so every couple weeks I'll update you on one of the six projects I'm in various stages of working on...
Z-Man "Six Pack Of Dynamite"-
This will be Z's next solo album, produced by Dnae Beats and myself, released on Machete Vox. It is hard to explain how dope it is sounding. Z hits just about every level of ill. He is putting his brain and soul on this one. For real. If you have picked up or downloaded a copy of "Sneak Preview" (out now) you can get an idea of where the album is going. Dnae and I are bringing our freshest beats to the table. I am recording and mixing it. The album is about 60% done, and as soon as Z is finished blowing the fuck up as a certified superstar with One Block Radius (Def Jam) we will finish this thing. Hopefully it will be out by March 2009...

Doing a cool little set in SF @ Pier23 with Dnae Beats, Dj Aron and Eddie K., somehow I fuck up a line in the middle of my verse and catch it though. LOL. Thanks for filming, First Lady!

Found this on Illmind's blog today. This producer can't be older than 10...WTF??? Amazing stuff.

When Mo and I are booked by a college to perform our Diversity piece, we play our beats off my ipod, which I couldn't find, right before we had to fly out to Maryland. So I bought a new one for $250. Now, we have played at this college four years in a row, this was our fifth. Last year, the sound man was drunk, and he almost couldn't figure out how to plug it into this theatre sound system ( which is generally geared toward plays). This year- same guy- drunk again. WTF???? 800 kids had to wait outside while this idiot ran around with his head up his ass for 30 minutes trying to pertend like he was trying to help. I had to scream on him at one point, and that didn't help. He smelled like he had been soaking in no good. We had to play without the ipod. Four years at this same college playing with an ipod, and this dumbfuck couldn't even remember how he hooked it up last year. Crazy. I clowned the fuck out of him on stage. After we finished, this girl walks up to me and says"I'm the drunk sound man's daughter"... Whaaaa?
She goes on to tell me the family is concerned about him, and that he drinks vodka mixed with ***balsamic vinegar***- he calls it a "steel dragon". And I thought I had problems...

I gotta admit, we got Rasputins in Mountain View kinda popping. A little over 50 folks showed up, pretty fucking hyped. Grand Invincible started things off with a dope set, all off vinyl, which is always refreshing to hear. Me and Dnae went next, then Eddie K., then Top.r. with Dj quest (who also deejayed for Ed). Quest is out of control ill, if I was a Dj. I'd just quit. On the ride back home to The Sco Dnae and I decided to do more all ages shows, cus these kids are starving for some good music in The South Bay. At least in SF you got The Fillmore, Slims, Great American, etc.
Anyways, in-stores are good.
